Certificate course on Human Rights


  The course is designed to develop general awareness among people about Human Rights.

 

Academic session:

  January to June and July to December every year. The course is of 6 months durations. 

 

Admission:

   Admission schedule will be notified in the newspaper before the commencement of each session. Information brochure together with enrolment form will be available from the office of all study centres of the university on Saturday and Sunday during office ours of the study centre on payment of Rs. 25/-.

  Completed enrolment form along with prescribed fees as detailed below is to be submitted to the study centre with in the last day announce. Application may be received beyond stipulated last date on payment of a late fee Rs. 50/-. The fees are to be submitted by demand draft payable to Netaji Subhas Open University (study centre) quoting its bank account number. Applicant should write his / her full name, application serial number on the reverse of the DD.

 

Fees Structure:

   Course Fee                                 :  Rs.  1000/-

   Registration Fee                       :  Rs.    100/-

   Identity Card Fee                      :  Rs.    100/-

   Development Fee                     :  Rs.    100/-

 

   Total                                              :  Rs.  1300/- (payable at the time of admission)

 

   Examination Fee                       :  Rs.    50/- per paper (payable before examination)

Eligibility:

 10+2 passed or equivalent as decided by the university, no age bar.

 

Course content:

   Their will be 4 papers of 8 credits or 100 marks each.

 

Language of Instruction:

 The Study materials are written in Bengali. A student is however free to write answers in English.

 

Study Materials:

  Self instructional study materials will distributed to students free of cost through the study centres where they have been admitted.

 

Method of Instruction:

  Instruction will be imparted through self-instructional study materials and Personal Contact Programme (PCP) for a short period. The centre for PCP may not always be the study centre where the student has been admitted.

 

Examination:

   Evaluation will be done through home assignment and term end examination. Pass mark 30% in aggregate.

 

Some Instructions:

1.      Application of change (address, subject, study centre, examination centre) should be made together with a fee of Rs. 50/-. Students shall be allowed to change their subjects with in 2 months of the last date of admission.

2.      The candidates who are admitted shall receive an Identity Card duly signed by the designated officer of the university. Identity Card should be produce by the students at the time of PCP, Laboratory work and examinations for verification on demand.
